I loved this book! It keeps you turning pages. Once you start reading, it’s nearly impossible to stop. Unlike some other books, this book is good right from the start. It may look long to some people who aren’t big readers, but it won’t take long to read because you won’t be able to stop. This book has many parts that are very funny and very surprising. It was surprising when she woke up in a magic cruise ship, bald with random stitches behind her ear. It also surprised me when she found out about Elsewhere and how people age backwards. She was reunited with her grandmother who had passed. Her grandmother took her to get a job. There she found out that she could speak to dogs. She adopted the beautiful, little dog she had met. I absolutely loved this book. It was so unbelievably interesting to read about a girl who can read minds. I have to admit, everyone loves gossip. No matter what you think about it, gossip appeals to everyone. So it was intriguing, getting to read all of the gossip that was going on in everyone’s heads. It kind of makes you wish you could read minds yourself. So many unexpected things happen in this book that you never want to put it down. I read this book in two days, it was so good! I would definitely recommend it to anyone, any age and any gender. [moomoo222]

I liked this book because horror stories are my favorite. I also liked Lord Loss because I like the leaders of bad people. I also liked how the demons were animals as well. This story is mainly about Lena who just moved to Gaitlin. She is a caster (like a witch, but she thinks it’s a stereotype). She and Ethan are trying to figure out why they have a “special” bond. I LOVED THIS BOOK! The story is addicting and will keep you glued to each page. I loved how the author made Lena so different, like an individual. The book mostly applies to girls who aren’t afraid to be themselves. It’s a perfect mix of mystery and suspense and drama. [Mo_143]

She has to donate white blood cells, bone marrow, blood, and a whole bunch more to her sister, Kate, who is slowly dying of leukemia. After a while she gets sick of it – so Anna files for medical emancipation. But what is her real reason? Is it just because she doesn’t want to have only one kidney, or is it something else?

I honestly loved the way that Jodi Picoult wrote this book. It switches characters’ points of view with each chapter, so you get the history and thoughts of everyone (well, almost everyone). At the end your mouth will be hanging open. I loved the part when Kate was a toddler, and it was from her mom’s point of view when they first found out that she had cancer. I loved this book, and I’m sure you will too. [That Girl]

This Book Is Not Good for You

The Midnight Sun is at it again. This time they’re in a cacao plantation. But where is it? It’s in a zoo. Why a cacao plantation, you may ask? Well, the villain, Señor Hugo, is trying to make a chocolate so rich it will send Cass back to the past to get the secret from her great ancestor, the jester.

I really liked this book, just like all of the others in the Secret series. The plot twists and turns. All of the footnotes add compelling details. Even better the appendix, it shows you even more that the book can’t explain within the plot, such as Max-Ernest’s 100 languages to say hello. Overall, I loved this book. [That Girl]

At first I thought this book wasn’t that good. It confused me by not giving any background information, like where the story took place. You had to infer it, which I began to like by the third chapter. After knowing that there was a secret, the truth, I had to finish it!
