Nick Diamond was framed for a jewelry robbery. He is sent to prison with Johnny Powers, Public Enemy Number One. The only way to escape is to get help from his dimmer brother, Tim. This book was amazing. I could not find a spot to stop because the whole story was so good! If you want to know the rest of the story, go ahead and read this book! I highly recommend it. [bird fly then splat]
This story is a continuation of the last one. There are four girls trying to find out who killed their childhood friend, Ali. Each girl has her own problems, but Hannah is the one who knows too much about “A” and the whole situation.
I loved this book! It’s not humorous, but also very dramatic. I loved the suspense and how it tricks you into who “A” really is. I watched a few shows and decided to read the book. I had to keep reading to find out who murdered Ali. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Book 4 of the Pretty Little Liars series. [??]
IQ and Angela’s parents get married, so now they are stepbrother and stepsister. Their parents, who are musicians, are going on tour after the wedding. IQ’s mom’s friend comes along. He knows so many things, even from 100 years ago. He knows every city in the U.S. IQ and Angela are wondering why he knows so much. Their mom tells them that he had a dog that looked exactly like the one she had 30 years ago. Read to find out why their mom’s friend knows so much. It is a little strange, but you will definitely like the book. Book 1 of the I.Q. series. [Finn the Human]
Cass, Max-Ernest, and Yo-Yoji are at it again. This time, though, they almost had the secret. After it crumbled away in her hands, Cass, the supposedly “secret keeper,” will try anything to get back the knowledge of her great ancestor, the Jester. This story isn’t about him. It’s about the secret. The ancient Egyptian secret that holds the key to life is still out there. Actually, it’s inches away from Cass’s pointy ears. After taking a trip to the local museum, Cass manages to break off a priceless mummy’s finger. All three must stay and repay their debt by working. They find something much more – the mummy is the doctor that discovered the secret. Yes, The Secret! The three travel across the country to a place of lights, magic, pyramids, and the revealing of the secret.
Have you ever had ancient villains trying to murder you? Well, if you read this book, you’ll be on the edge of your seat. The narrator’s sense of humor is everywhere, and the connections to all of the other books are amazing. As Pseudonymous Bosch tells you, YOU HAVE TO STOP THIS! Book Two in the Secret Series. [That Girl]
The Midnight Sun is at it again. This time they’re in a cacao plantation. But where is it? It’s in a zoo. Why a cacao plantation, you may ask? Well, the villain, Señor Hugo, is trying to make a chocolate so rich it will send Cass back to the past to get the secret from her great ancestor, the jester.
I really liked this book, just like all of the others in the Secret series. The plot twists and turns. All of the footnotes add compelling details. Even better the appendix, it shows you even more that the book can’t explain within the plot, such as Max-Ernest’s 100 languages to say hello. Overall, I loved this book. [That Girl]
This story is about nightmares that come to life. An ancient artifact, when in the hands of the wrong person, puts a curse on some unlucky people and makes their nightmares come alive. I loved this book! It combined the perfect amount of mystery and spine-chilling tales. Anyone who loves creepy books will consider this a new favorite. Definitely a must read! There are many plot twists, you will be surprised and scared. It’s very dark, so read at your own risk. You will be on the edge of your seat practically the whole time. The nightmares not only come true in this book, they get even worse. They can’t actually hurt you, but beware! [unknown 000]
