The DC Comics Encyclopedia

DC Comics EncyclopediaThis book is about all of the DC superheroes and villains. It shows all the best superheroes with three or two pages, like Batman, Robin, Cat, the Joker, Superman, Super Boy, Super Girl, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Flash.

The graphics, the words, and the whole thing, the superheroes and villains, were good.  The most traumatizing part was when Batman’s partner Robin left Batman. Then the second Robin died because the Joker tried to kill Batman, and Robin jumped in front of him to save him. The third Robin is still with Batman, but is also the leader of Young Justice.  [fd]

Invincible: Family Matters

Invincible: Family MattersThere’s this kid named Mark who has superpowers that came from his dad. The thing that he didn’t know was his dad came from another planet, but his mom is from Earth.  I really liked this book because it shows flashbacks and stuff you would see in movies, like Spiderman, and the characters are very well fit. Also, the comedy is great! The only thing I didn’t like was there was one scene that skipped like a day later. So at the most I will give it a 9 out of 10.  [J_FlyHy_619]

Melvin Beederman Superhero: The Curse of the Bologna Sandwich

Melvin Beederman Superhero: The Curse of the Bologna SandwichMelvin is a superhero. He was sent by his boss to Los Angeles, California to fight the villains and save the city. He meets a girl named Candace who is also a superhero. They both try to stop the McNasty brothers.

This is a fun and interesting book. One of the reasons why I liked the book is because there is a lot of adventure. I was impressed how Melvin fought all of the bad guys.  [Tega ]

HeroJason is a regular boy with a regular dad … so he thinks.  His dad comes home one day with blood all over him and falls to his death. Jason finds out that his dad was a superhero and has to replace him.

Mike Lupica usually writes sport books. So when he wrote Hero, I was interested. This book is good for all grades from 5th to 12th, because there are different points of view. What surprised me was that Jason didn’t know that his father was a superhero for the president the whole time. People used to pick on Jason, but when he got into a fight and demolished the school bully, Frank Murph, nobody messed with him.  [TerpJerk 101]
